Humidity test

Humidity test has the purpose of evaluating the properties of materials used in components and the reliability of non-hermetic packaged devices in humid environments.

The aim is to activate the humidity penetration through the external materials or along with the interfaces between the external protective material and the metallic conductors and produce degradations and failures.

Humidity can influence the life time of a EEE component by creating stresses on the part materials and altering its electrical properties in a way that the component reliability is decreased.
