August 2009 - FDS has been launched to the ISS
Space Shuttle Discovery has been launched on August 28, 2009.
The mission will carry onboard the ISS the Mice Drawer System (MDS), the seventh biomedical payload developed by the Italian Space Agency for the Station. The payload, built by Thales Alenia Space, is a multifunctional and multiuser system for conducting experiments in various biomedical fields.
The FDS - (Food Delivery Subsystem), as part of the Mice Drawer System, permits to supply mice inside each cage independently with food bars. The bars will be substituted along the duration of the mission in order to satisfy consumption requirements. The FDS is composed by removable and fix parts. The fix parts are constrained to the external container of MDS.
IMT srl has delivered 36 flight units of FDS to Thales Alenia Space.
April 2008 - EEE parts Laboratory activities started in the new location at Tecnopolis - Valenzano (BA)
IMT has reached an agreement with Tecnopolis SCARL, located in Valenzano (BA), for the utilisation of Microelectronics Laboratory facilities left free by a previous company. This led to the re-employment of part of former company personnel.
IMT has started the Laboratory activities in April 2008.
It is firm intention of IMT to establish in Bari, in a short term, a new autonomous company with a mission to develop several space advanced technological activities (Technological Laboratory, COTS equipments manufacturing, Nanosatellites).

The IMT Quality Management System has been formally certified by Det Norske Veritas
